Dog SERIES

The Dog Series is an accumulation of portrait paintings of man’s best friend. Explored throughout the first year of the pandemic, the dog subject matter reflects the urge to be outside. In August, 2021, the first paintings in this series were shown in an art installation at Laurier Dog Park in Montreal. Viewers were invited to see the portraits while enjoying the company of the dogs that passed by the dog park that day — a much-deserved moment of play for both humans and dog.

After this exhibition, several paintings were added to the series as people commissioned their own pets, past and present, as ways to immortalize them.
