An accumulation of artworks from 2021- 2023, Here and Now is Ian Clelland’s first solo exhibition featuring recurring distortions and fixations. When compiling the works in one room, an unintended relationship occurred. Dainty feet that most would hide are made prettyful. Researching these feet led to 1950-60’s catalogues of uneasy glossed gazes. Silverware starts to dance. There is no reason for these subjects but to exercise what’s compelling.
